Rep. Terri Leo Wilson, a member of the Texas House of Representatives, recently shared several updates on local community events and advocacy efforts in Galveston County through her social media posts.

On July 14, 2025, Rep. Leo Wilson congratulated two local businesses on their ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce. She stated, “Congratulations to The SeaBreeze News and Solano Services Tree Trimming and Removal on their grand ribbon cutting with the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce! Wishing you both continued success and a bright future ahead!”

Later that day, she commented on her experience at a local arts event. On July 14, 2025, she posted, “Enjoyed Galveston ArtWalk, held every second Saturday. Met Evan McClimans, who saves sea life by turning marine debris into sculptures like Gerty, the Reddish Egret unveiled by the Galveston Park Board. ArtWalk is a free monthly celebration of local art, culture, and community.”

In another post dated July 14, 2025, Rep. Leo Wilson addressed infrastructure needs in Bolivar. She wrote, “Today I asked our Galveston County Commissioners and Commissioner Robin Armstrong to support adding SH 87 to the HGAC Transportation Plan. Bolivar residents have long pushed for this road to be a safe, reliable evacuation route.”

Galveston County is located along the Texas Gulf Coast and includes several communities such as Bolivar Peninsula and the city of Galveston. The Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC) oversees regional transportation planning affecting these areas.
