Rep. Terri Leo Wilson, a Republican who has represented Texas’s 23rd House district since her election in 2023, recently shared updates from community events and local celebrations through her social media posts.
On September 17, 2025, Rep. Leo Wilson posted about a luncheon honoring Lee Crowder for over two decades of public service: “It was a lovely luncheon celebration at Stingaree’s on Bolivar Peninsula celebrating 21 years of dedicated service by Lee Crowder, our Galveston County Roads and Bridge Director. Lee has served with integrity and always with a servant’s heart.”
Later that day, she highlighted the presence of alligators in Texas and participation in a local festival: “There are 500,000 alligators in TX.
….and there is still time to celebrate alligators in Anahuac at the family friendly GATORFEST. Dave and I had a great time volunteering.
Anahuac is the Alligator Capital of Texas because alligators outnumber humans almost 3 to 1. #gatorfest” This event underscores Anahuac’s unique claim as the “Alligator Capital of Texas,” where the reptile population significantly exceeds that of residents.
On September 19, 2025, she described preparations for commemorative ceremonies related to naval history: “Exciting day on the dock this morning at Pier 21. The Battleship Texas is getting her ribbons on and decorating is happening for the big Admiral Commissioning Ceremony, and the Wreath Laying Ceremony, all in remembrance of the First Navy of Texas.”
Rep. Leo Wilson succeeded Mayes Middleton after winning election to represent District 23 in the Texas State House beginning in 2023.
