Rep. Terri Leo Wilson, a Republican who has represented Texas’s 23rd House district since her election in 2023, shared updates and community highlights through her social media posts in early August 2025.

On August 4, Leo Wilson commented on a local music event, writing, “Gulfstock 2025 was a blast from the past. Great bands all day long! I love this island! Can’t wait for next year!”

The following day, she recognized a community achievement: “As Bryleah Collins continued a family tradition of Eagle Scouts, my District Director, Susan LeBlanc, attended her Eagle Court of Honor ceremony to present a resolution to honor this amazing accomplishment along with a Texas flag flown over the Capitol. Congratulations Bryleah!” This post highlighted both the honoree and the participation of her district office.

Later on August 5, Leo Wilson addressed concerns from employees at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), stating: “I’ve heard from many UTMB employees concerned about recent changes to the PTO program. I sent a letter to UT System leadership urging them to reconsider the proposed payout structure and honor their commitments to the dedicated staff who have supported UTMB’s mission for years.”

Leo Wilson succeeded Mayes Middleton in representing District 23 in the Texas State House after winning election in 2023.
