On June 6, 2025, Rep. Terri Leo Wilson expressed her support for a legal action initiated by the U.S. Department of Justice aimed at ending in-state tuition for illegal immigrants in Texas. She stated, “I agree with the U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit to end in-state tuition for illegal immigrants in Texas. I filed HB 160 to end this policy because Texans must come first.”
In another tweet on June 9, 2025, she described attending an event featuring young pianists at Galveston’s Historic Grand 1894 Opera House. She noted the event’s international flair and praised the performers: “We had a lovely time listening to some of the finest young pianists in the world at the beautiful Galveston’s Historic Grand 1894 Opera House on Saturday evening! Triumph of The Keys! These young pianists have won international competitions and have performed all over the world.”
Later that day, Rep. Leo Wilson provided an overview of her legislative accomplishments during the session. She highlighted her success in passing multiple bills and resolutions while supporting various conservative initiatives: “Proud to share a recap of this session’s work: I passed 12 bills and 3 resolutions, carried a Republican Party of Texas priority bill, and supported dozens of conservative measures.”
