CITY OF CLEAR LAKE SHORES:Serve your community as a bilingual poll worker

City of Clear Lake Shores issued the following announcement on June 12

The City of Clear Lake Shores is looking for a Spanish speaking resident who can serve as a bilingual election clerk during early voting and Election Day. Bilingual clerks will aid voters who need assistance with the voting process including translating when necessary.

 Early voting will begin on Monday, June 29, 2020 and will continue through Friday, July 10, 2020 (No voting on July 3, 4 and 5, 2020)

 Early voting will be held at City Hall, located at 1006 South Shore Drive, Clear Lake Shores, Texas 77565 as follows:

  • June 29, 30, 31, July 1, 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  
  • July 6 and 7 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 
  • July 8, 9, 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Election day voting will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at City Hall from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

To be eligible for appointment as a poll worker/election clerk you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen 
  • Be a registered voter residing in Clear Lake Shores
  • Speak Spanish
  • Be available all hours listed for early voting and election day.
