Clear

City of Clearlakeshores issued the following announcement.

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect along the Texas coastline from Port Mansfield to High Island. Tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area by Friday night. Interests elsewhere along the Texas and Louisiana coast should monitor the progress of this system. Tropical Storm Warnings may be required for portions of the Watch area later today. The City of Clear Lake Shores im monitoring the storm along with the US National Weather Service Houston-Galveston.

As we continue to work through the challenges presented by COVID-19, it is also important that we remember to prepare for the 2020 hurricane season.

MAKE A PLAN

Make sure everyone in your household knows and understands your hurricane plan. Discuss the latest Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance on Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it may affect your hurricane planning.

BUILD A KIT

After an emergency, you may need to survive on your own for several days. Being prepared means having your own food, water and other supplies to last for at least 72 hours. A disaster supplies kit is a collection of basic items your household may need in the event of an emergency.
