Tam

Texas A&M University issued the following announcement.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Watch that includes Coastal Galveston County and surrounding areas. Galveston Campus will remain operational, however we strongly encourage remote work locations for Friday, July 24, 2020, due to variables in the forecast.

Significant rainfall is expected with this system which will impact areas prone to flooding. All students, faculty and staff should shelter-in-place beginning at 6 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday. All essential staff should contact their supervisors to determine their work schedule between these hours.

Residence Hall Move-In and Drop-Off is cancelled for Saturday.

Stay weather aware. Real-time travel conditions are available at drivetexas.org and HoustonTranStar.org. Any campus impacts will be communicated via Sea Aggie Alerts.
