Activity

Shriners Burns Hospital issued the following announcement.

NASCAR drivers David Ragan and Jesse Little will be racing for a cause during the 2020 Shriners Hospitals for Children Race Weekend thanks to Homer's Foundation. Both drivers have special connections to Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Shriners International fraternity. Shriners Hospitals for Children branding will be prominent on Ragan’s #17 Ford F-150 and Little’s #4 Chevrolet Camaro as they compete at Darlington Raceway September 5-6.

David Ragan

Following his successful 14-year career on the NASCAR Cup Series, Ragan will now compete in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. Ragan is both a long-time supporter of Shriners Hospitals for Children and a member of Shriners International.

“It’s great to bring Shriners Hospitals for Children back to the track,” said Ragan. “Although I’m not racing full-time, the Shriners and Shriners Hospitals for Children are still a big part of my life. It’s great to get them back at the track to continue to raise awareness.”

The #17 Ford F-150 will be running in the South Carolina Education Lottery 200 on Sunday, September 6 at 2 p.m. EST. This race will be nationally televised live on Fox Sports 1. Find this network in your market.

Jesse Little

2020 is Little’s rookie season as a full-time driver on the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Little’s cousin, April, received treatment for cerebral palsy at the Greenville Shriners Hospital. Four Shriners Hospitals patients that Little has formed special relationships with over the years will be featured on the back of his car.

"I am very excited to represent Shriners Hospitals during our Darlington race,” said Little. “The paint scheme is absolutely beautiful and has a very special addition that will be cool and fans will be excited to see."

Watch for Little in the #4 Chevrolet Camaro during the Sports Clips Haircuts VFW 200 on Saturday, September 5 at 12:30 p.m. EST. This race will be nationally televised live on local NBC stations. Find your local NBC network.

Racing fans can enter to win autographed memorabilia from these races and other NASCAR-related prizes by making a donation to either Ragan’s or Little’s fundraising pages. Proceeds fully benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.
