GALVESTON COLLEGE: Registration underway for fall 2020 second start classes

Galveston College issued the following announcement.

It’s not too late to begin classes this fall at Galveston College. Registration is open for the fall 2020 second start session. Classes begin Monday, Oct. 5.

Galveston College will host Facebook Live information sessions about fall 2020 second start classes on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. Visit the Galveston College Facebook page to view a session.

Admission and Registration

New students can apply for admission at applytexas.org.

In order to plan coursework for the fall semester, new and current students should contact the Counseling and Advising Center at advising@gc.edu.

To search for classes, click here and select Fall 2020 and FL 2nd Start: 10/5-12/17 in the top menus.

New and current students can also register on their Whitecaps portal at whitecaps.gc.edu with their student ID number. A student ID number is assigned at the time of admission.

All individuals entering campus buildings are expected to use a facial mask or face covering. In addition, those entering campus buildings will be screened for signs of COVID-19 and temperature.

Once inside campus facilities, faculty, staff, students and visitors are expected to maintain an appropriate social distance, as well as to continue to use facial masks or face coverings in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, city of Galveston and state of Texas guidelines.
