Members of the Galveston City Council have been chosen after a runoff election.

"Galveston City Council seats are unpaid positions, and candidates are elected for two-year terms," according to a city press release. "Candidates must earn 50% of the votes to be elected. Three council positions were decided in November (District 1, 4 and 6), while four positions went to a runoff election (Mayor, District 2, 3 and 5), which was held Dec. 15."

Unofficial results have elected Craig Brown as Galveston mayor; E.R. Johnson as the District 1 City Council member; Willian Schuster as the District 2 City Council member; David Collins as the District 3 City Council member; Bill Quiroga as the District 4 City Council member; John Paul Listowski as the District 5 City Council member; and Marie Robb as District 6 City Council member.
