The Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land, TX metro area ranks first in trade with Brazil with exports of $8.4 billion in 2019, according to the International Trade Administration (ITA).

The Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land, TX area includes Austin, Chambers and Waller counties and is the fifth largest metro area with a population of 6,884,138.

The International Trade Administration (ITA) promotes trade and investments in the United States through data aggregation and studies on global markets and specific U.S. regions. ITA utilizes its research to negotiate on behalf of U.S. industries and is also responsible for enforcing trade agreements.
