There were 1,573 students enrolled in Odyssey Academy Inc in the 2022-23 school year, 5.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.9% of them were girls, and 48.1% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 53.3% of the Odyssey Academy Inc total enrollment.

Odyssey Academy Inc roughly covers schools within Galveston County with its main office in Texas City.

Among the two schools in Odyssey Academy Inc, Odyssey Academy - Galveston recorded the highest enrollment of 866 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
