There were 170 students enrolled in Ambassadors Preparatory Academy in the 2022-23 school year, 10.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 59.4% of them were girls, and 40.6% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were African American, representing 57.1% of the Ambassadors Preparatory Academy total enrollment.

Ambassadors Preparatory Academy roughly covers schools within Galveston County with its main office in Galveston.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
