GALVESTON, Monday, April 20, 2020—Texas A&M University at Galveston is proud to announce the launch of our first virtual signature campus preview event, Aggieland Saturday by the Sea Saturday, April 25, 2020 from 9 a.m. to noon.
This event will be run through Zoom and thanks to the advances of technology, will allow students to learn about a special microbiology class where they can study viruses, explore the Texas A&M Maritime Academy’s dynamic ship simulators, get an exclusive peek at some of the animals housed in our Sea Life Facility, attend their choice of degree program-related question and answer sessions, and more.
Student Ambassadors will also be on hand for a special “Ask Me Anything” session where potential students can truly get an inside look at their future as an Aggie by the Sea. Moderators will be present in each session to ensure all questions are addressed and answered.
This event is designed as an all-access pass to showcase Texas A&M-Galveston to high school juniors, seniors and potential transfer students.
Aggieland Saturday by the Sea was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 28, but was canceled due to ongoing safety concerns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
